    There's a pictur of them together in the New York Sunday Times on 10th January 1971, so they probably met.

    There's an interview with him on that page:

    Heinlein calls himself an individualist, and remarked, "Ayn Rand is a bloody socialist compared to me."

    HEINLEIN: Well, I'm not going to comment on Miss Rand's epistemology.
