Dusting off a quiz which I compiled some months ago, I have discovered the following question: Which country is Britain's oldest ally, with no conflicts in over 900 years? The choices were Holland, Portugal and Belgium. Now I cannot find the correct answer. Which is it?

    Question #45998. Asked by Linus_337.

I have always thought it was Portugal.

I thought I had better check and http://www.boydell.co.uk/824.HTM says it is Portugal.

From those choices it barely needs checking.
Britain has often been in sea wars with Holland and Belgium, as a country, has only existed, to my knowledge, since 1830.

I have a problem with a question I set for a pub quiz not so long ago. The question concerned the most recognised brand name in the world. I had McDonalds as the answer, but this was disputed by some. Does anyone know the answer for sure?

I recently completed a postal quiz, one of the questions being: "Name Boo's three pals." It was a toss up between Boo Radley and Boo from Monsters, Inc. which I went for. Now I have received the answers, I am still no better off, the answer being Sleeping Bear, Laughing Duck and Growling Tiger. What I need to know is, and excuse the pun, Boo who?

This is a question from a Christmas Charity Quiz, but I think it is interesting, and I cannot find any clues so far. Which UK Number One single had the title of the song which knocked it off top spot included in its lyrics?
