In bed races, which are raced, single or double beds?

Unless otherwise specified (Twin Bed Race, Hospital Bed Race, Crib Bed Race) it appears the sizes vary from race to race: Bed minimum to be at least 54" wide, 75" long, and 10" from the ground to the bottom of the bedspring or frame support. No part of the bed may exceed 90" in width or 100" in length. Beds should measure at least 3 feet by 6 feet but no more than 6 feet by 8 feet, handles included. The minimum mattress/box spring dimensions must be no smaller than 35”x71”. The bed must have a minimum length of 1.75m and a minimum width of 0.75m and have a maximum width of 1.35m.
