There is actually a place quite close to Sheffield (Hillsborough) called Loxley. I believe he was from there. Little John's grave is thought to be at parish church of St Michael in Hathersage, not too far from Sheffield. Little John was Robin Hood's loyal henchman, who is alleged to have been born in Hathersage, though no historical evidence exists. The grave has been adopted by the Ancient Order of Forresters, who come to pay annual tribute. Jul 19 06, 7:34 AM
