The single character in any Shakespeare play with the most lines is Iago in Othello, with more than 1,000 (I forget the exact numbers).

Falstaff as a character has the most. He appears in Henry IV parts 1 and 2, Henry V and The Merry Wives of Windsor. I can't give you a reference for this, but I read it in a newspaper this weekend, and I can't find it now!
