According to the Guinness Book of Records 2004 it is the Belomorsko-Baltiysky Kanal, also known as the White Sea-Baltic Canal, from Belomorsk to Povenets, Russia. It is 227km (141 miles) long, has 19 locks and was built using forced labour between 1930 and 1933.
