Great question! Only found one with a name so far - Panir.
Lots of references to goats' cheeses but no names.

Since most Asians are lactose intolerant I tend to think this will be the only one-PANIR

Haloumi cheese is used in many dishes here in the Middle East. Very nice when b.b.q'd!

HALOUMI: The traditional white Cheese from Cyprus, semi-hard cheese made from 100% sheep's milk with the addition of mint, it has a fresh, mild taste.
Exellent for fryng because it retains its shape when heated, it can be grated over pasta, on salads, omelettes, sliced and eaten on sandwitches or as an appetizer served alone or with kalamata olives.
