    		Aphra Behn was one of England's earliest female writers. She was married to a Dutchman, and after that to support herself wrote plays and poetry, and also spied for England against the Dutch. Henry Purcell wrote incidental music for her blood and guts play 'The Moor's Revenge' - on which music Benjamin Britten based his Young Person's Guide.
