At noon GMT I was planning on calling a friend at the South Pole. What time will it be there?

The official timezone for the South Pole is UTC/GMT +12 hours. There is no observance of daylight savings time.

They actually do observe daylight savings time, just not at the moment. It is observed from roughly October through March.
