    Question #48270. pbombard asks:

Rlaj's question on mad hatters reminds me of some American city and town nicknames. What is the "hat city," the "chair city" and the "brass city"?

    DA284ever

I don't know what town is nicknamed the chair city, but in my neck of the woods the Hat City is Danbury, CT & the Brass City is Waterbury, CT.

Danbury is know as the hat city because, at one time, some of the best hat's in the world were manufactured there.

Still need Chair city. Hint: take 84 to 90 to 290 to 190. That'll put you in the general vicinity.

I had to do a little digging on this one, but it's Gardner, MA.
