    If www stands for World Wide Web, what does http or com stand for?

    		.com means commercial, i.e. they sell stuff at the site.

    		http stands for Hyper Text Transfer Protocol
    and com stands for Command in many computer interfaces but I think it may, in the case of the internet, like yeaux said, stand for Commercial as in business, like .org stands for Organization, and .net stands for Network.
