What are the chances that a person might undergo spontaneous combustion, and what increases this chance?

Question #48468. Asked by pjotr. (Jun 16 04 7:35 PM)

Spontaneous combustion is a bizzare but real phenomenon!

Very little is know about this mysterious event.

The link given by Buck dismisses the "wick effect", saying that it doesn't take witness statements into account. Naturally, it doesn't bother to explain how it contradicts these statements but cuts straight to SHC still being an unexplained mystery which they like at "Mystical Blaze". I think the wick effect renders SHC as "mysterious" as the Bermuda Triangle.
