    How long after the sell-by date can you drink milk, presuming no nasty smell or lumps?

    		I usually wing it and let my nose make the call. This site says 2-3 days, but I suppose it depends on the type of milk. Whole milk can go off quicker than the 2% I drink, and I've used it for as much as 10 days after.

    		Thanks robboy. My roommate drinks the milk (cow) until it smells or becomes lumpy. This takes her up to three weeks after the sell-by date. She hasn't displayed any ill-effects , however.
