    In what standard unit is the sharpness of blades measured and where can I find the sharpest?

    		There does not seem to be a standard test for sharpness that I can find. Here is one test that seems to be the most scientific, its for testing scalpel sharpness and durability:

    		No, I can't find a standard either. Just plenty of slapdash methods involving measuring the extension of rubber bands before a knife goes through them or hanging weights on paper.
