The plane 'Enola Gay' was piloted by Colonel Paul Tibbets, who nicknamed it after his own mother! the co-pilot was Captain W. S. Parsons, and the Weapons Officer was Captain r. Lewis. The full crew totalled twelve. The bomb itself was nicknamed 'Little Boy", and actually exploded about 1,900 feet above Hiroshima on 6th August 1945.
