    Is profanity allowed on US license plates?

    No it is not, in fact in Ohio at least they have 'experts' in the BMV [Bureau of Motor Vedhicles] who sift every license application to be absolutely certain no hint of double, single or triple entendre's seep in. Anthony Comstock is alive and well in Ohio at least.
