A birth rate of 30 per hour is around 260,000 odd births per year, which would be about right for a population the size of (say) Australia, if that's what you mean.

No this is untrue. A baby can only be born once.
Let's face it, it would be almost impossible to reverse the birth process as it must be similar to posting a frozen chicken through a letterbox when the flap only hinges one way.
