The World's Largest Block Party, on the site of the oldest public building in the city of Chicago, manages to snag the most au courant talent every summer. This year's two-block-long party celebrates its 20th anniversary in style with Guster headlining on Friday, July 16 and The Wallflowers on Saturday, July 17. Expect 20,000-25,000 warm bodies over two nights of too much fun in Chicago's West Loop all to benefit Old St. Pat's and its outreach programs. The gorgeous edifice, founded in 1846, is one of the few buildings to survive the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. Just like Old St. Pat's, you might get lucky – more than 70 couples have met and married after meeting at the Block Party. Partiers who purchase tickets online or by phone save $5 and avoid disappointment if the event is sold out. (A ticket includes five beverages with a choice of beer, wine, soda, bottled water or coffee.) Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Old St. Pat's presents a new addition to this year's event: the Budweiser True Music Roadhouse is a 53–foot long trailer that's an interactive, multi-level, multi-room music immersion experience. -- Jacky Runice
