    		This is a stretch...but how about a disease like an ebola or a Legionaiires.

    		Nice one, Snoopy. The Nigerian village is Lassa, of Lassa Fever fame, the Congo river is the Ebola - similar fame - and the Legionaires caught something nasty from an air conditioner.
