Why is the colour yellow associated with cowardice?

    Question #50094. Asked by chris42. (Aug 07 04 8:06 AM)

Cowards are probably more closely linked to amphibians. Frogs, specifically. Yellow-bellies. Things that hop away and hide when you go after them. "Yellow" is shorthand for "yellow-belly."
