This is just a guess, because I don't think she won three US Opens. I can only recall Babe Didrikson winning one US Open, but in 1932 she won two gold medals and one silver in the Olympic Games in LA. Aug 18 04, 7:25 PM

A definite yay there, Potterguy. As Babe Zaharias she won the women's US Open in 1948, 50 and 54. Her unique triple feat (for a man or woman) was winning medals in running (80m), throwing (javelin) and jumpng (high jump). For an extra point, why did she only get silver in the high jump despite being a better jumper than her rival?
