In trying to find something that the Greeks have invented in the last 200 years, I only found soft ice cream, developed by Thomas Carvelas, a Greek immigrant to New York in 1934. Can anybody find some other modern Greek inventions?

Thomas Carvelas = Tom Carvel as in "Carvel" Ice Cream. A former personal friend of mine!

He lives on Winding Road Farm in Ardsley, New York. Great human being! The 'father of' Cookie-puss and Fudgie-the-whale ice-cream cakes.

Soft Ice-cream was only the beginning of his 'inventions'.

Franchising was his original concept. No one had done it before Mr. Carvel.

Does anyone have a Guinness book and can find his name or show me a website? Thanks.
