    Why is the Australian cricketer Mark Waugh nicknamed "Afghanistan"?

    		Because he is the "Forgotten War" (Waugh)!

    I remembered it from a Great Brain Quiz from a couple of years ago.

    		His brother Steve was selected to play for Australia 5 years before Mark was selected. Mark was then nicknamed Afghanistan - the forgotten war/Waugh.
