On October 7, 1916, Georgia Tech played Cumberland in Atlanta. Tech won 222 to 0, the worst walloping in the history of American college football.

The game did not go the distance. It was cut short by 15 minutes.
Next best is a distant second - the 125 pts win margin by Connecticut in 1949.
