    Question #50726. giantcomet4 asks:

When was it predicted that the world will end?

    Linus_337

Mother Shipton, a 15th century British prophetess, predicted that the world would end in 1991, and Nostradamus forecast that it would end in 1999.

The "Bible Code" suggested that the world would end in 2000, but also suggests 2006 and 2010 - well, they have to be right sooner or later, don't they?

There have been countless others - and there will continue to be countless more so long as people will buy their books.

For more details, read "Linus Forecasts the end of the World", priced £25.99 from all good bookshops.

Armageddon outta here! The study of the world's endgame, mainly from a religious point of view, is called eschatology.
