Ships' cats are meant to be lucky. Was there a ship's cat on the Titanic?

Ash	It is possible that a cat was on the Titanic. I've several books about the Titanic and there is nothing in them about a cat that was saved though there were at least two dogs whose owners took with them aboard the lifeboats. Aug 13 00, 2:12 AM

I'm not finding an "official ship's cat" on the Titanic, however there were cats: "And it was not for nothing that seafarers, like firemen Joseph Mulholland and his mates on the Titanic, kept cats." Also, dogs and rats and one pig...The liner struck an iceberg in the late evening of April 14th and forever changed the lives of 2,236 people, an estimated 2000 rats, many dogs and at least one pig on board.
