Lemuel Gulliver.
At the court of Brobdingnag, Gulliver (who is the pet of the royal family) is tormented by the court dwarf, who releases numbers of flies ("each of them as big as a Dunstable lark") in his face. He also gets dropped into a gigantic bowl of cream and suffers in other ways.
