Two thirds of the world's eggplant are said to be grown in New Jersey. But I think eggplant may be a fruit?

Yay, Lothrun! It may be a fruit but the aubergine/eggplant is clasified under vegetables in Wikipedia and my dictonary says the fruit can be eaten as a vegetable. That piece of shoe sole that spoils a good moussaka has to be a vegetable!

Whether berry or not, it is still a fruit, since berries ARE fruits. In either case, it isn't a vegetable. ;-)
