Any South Africans here who can tell me what the children's confectionary from around the 1950's called "eskimo fire" is?

This was mentioned by Jeremy Taylor in 'Ag pleez Deddy' in 1962, and I can find no reference to it anywhere, though I assumed it was like arctic roll or similar. I'm sure he didn't make it up either! Oct 05 04, 8:46 PM

Nice one Valmur- do you have the record as well? I got it last month after hearing it on the radio- in about 1969! No wonder I didn't know what it was- I must have got confused by the accent!
