Any South Africans here who can tell me what the children's confectionary from around the 1950's called "eskimo fire" is?

Question #51473. Asked by satguru. (Oct 05 04 7:05 PM)

This was mentioned by Jeremy Taylor in 'Ag pleez Deddy' in 1962, and I can find no reference to it anywhere, though I assumed it was like arctic roll or similar. I'm sure he didn't make it up either!

I was born in S Africa in the 50's and remember eskimo pies - chocolate covered squissy white kind of liquid meringue stuff.

Nice one Valmur- do you have the record as well? I got it last month after hearing it on the radio- in about 1969! No wonder I didn't know what it was- I must have got confused by the accent! I think we had eskimo pie here as well once, thanks for clearing it up. I also met him in about 1977 at work, which encouraged me to get hold of it eventually!

Does anyone know the name of the childrens' movie that was once on the Disney channel about a child with cancer that featured Christine Lahti? I believe it was called something like the '4 Diamonds' and also, is it available on video or DVD?

I'm looking for a show I used to watch on SABC1's YOTv in South Africa when I was younger, called Princess Sherizon (at least I think that's what it was called. "Sherizon" could also be spelled wrong.) It was about a princess called Sherizon (she used to wear blue, I remember that), and she had a friend who was a genie and could transform into anything. This is about as much as I can remember, I'm afraid. I'm not sure whether it was a show made in South Africa or internationally, but Google searches yield nothing. I'm hoping someone can help me?
