    Question #51478. gmackematix asks:

Given that the Great Pyramids are the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing, what would I now find at the sites of the other six?

    RickF

I have visited three of the sites.

At Bodrum (Turkey), the site of the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, it looked a lot like a building site! It has been excavated, and a small reconsruction made. Parts of the original stonework was used to build Bodrum castle, and can be seen embeded in the walls.

At Ephesus, a few columns of the temple of Artemis have been re-erected.

Nothing remains of the Colossus of Rhodes and the supposed site on the harbour, marked by monuments, is now believed to be incorrect.

In Iraq nothing remains of the hanging gardens,

The lighthouse of Alexandria has been replaced by a small museum and some fish restaurants.

    Thanks for that.
The following stands on the site of the Pharos (for all I know it might contain a museum and fish shops):
