Given that the Great Pyramids are the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing, what would I now find at the sites of the other six?

I have visited three of the sites. At Bodrum (Turkey), the site of the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, it looked a lot like a building site! It has been excavated, and a small reconsruction made. Parts of the original stonework was used to build Bodrum castle, and can be seen embeded in the walls. At Ephesus, a few columns of the temple of Artemis have been re-erected. Nothing remains of the Colossus of Rhodes and the supposed site on the harbour, marked by monuments, is now believed to be incorrect. Oct 06 04, 4:42 AM
