My parents migrated from Holland in 1952 and they bought with them two paintings by a Dutch (I presume) artist named L. Hartman. I'd like to get some information on tis artist. Does anyone know the website for something like The National Art Gallery in Amsterdam? This Renaissance artist took his surname from the town he was born. A court painter and then town mayor he later became famous for royalty portraits. Who is this artist, and what was unusual that happened to one of his nude paintings, which has now been rectified?
