Which country has the greatest number of national holidays?

The United States has a wider variety of holidays than any country I know of, from religious (Christmas, Easter) to national (Independence Day, Memorial Day, Veterans Day) to commemorative (Columbus Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents' Day). The longest time spent celebrating (as far as I know) is the month of Ramadan, observed in the Muslim world. The total amount of days observed as holidays in a year (again, as far as I know) is highest in the Jewish calendar. There are 35 days celebrated as holidays and seven public fast days observed every Jewish year in Israel. The country having the most is difficult to determine. Lots of websites make claims for various destinations as having "the most public holidays in the world", usually citing this as evidence [Sri Lanka/Malaysia/Wherever] is THE place for your relaxing vacation. The position is complicated by the fact that in many countries there are additional local holdays also observed. The nearest I can find to any objective statistics is this UNESCO report which alleges that three countries share Top Spot with a fabulous 24 days each (compared to 8 in the UK or 10 in the US for example.
