Gatorade, which to be honest sounds like the U.S rip-off of Lucozade. (Lucozade may be the rip off of Gatorade, I'm not sure, but..) does not look healthy according to a few websites I've read for the one reason that it contains a high level of sodium which is apparently to 'encourage drinking until the body is fully hydrated'. High levels of sodium in anything makes the product unhealthy. I'd stick to water rather than these artificially isotonic drinks any day.

But it does actually say that Gatorade contains sodium to make you drink more. View this site.

Gatorade helps athletes replenish anything they've lost in sweat. Gatorade is made from the same "ingredients" as sweat, only of course it's flavored too. In fact, Gatorade was discovered after tests were done on the sweat of the University of Florida's football players. And it's no coincidence that the U. of Florida's mascot is the gators!
I learned that nifty fact from the book "Just Curious, Jeeves", a trivia buff's delight.
