Ever hear of Hitchcock's 1955 black comedy "The Trouble with Harry"? Long before Bernie kicked off, a group of Vermonters moved the title character's corpse around the countryside and even buried and reburied him! The group included Shirley MacLaine in her film debut and a very young Jerry Mathers (TV's Beaver). The film also marked Bernard Herrmann's first score for a Hitchcock film.

I'm also thinking of "Forget Paris" with Billy Cristal (the character's father is moved from Paris to a variety of places, not one of them his final resting place). There's also "Clue" in which Mr. Body (or the butler) is moved several times throughout the story. And of course "The Client" which has the dead senator moved from place to place.
