It's not a fatal condition, so no-one will have died specifically because of it. Down's Syndrome is a genetic condition, which gives the 'sufferer' a particular type of facial structure, usually below average intelligence, and usually a shorter life span than 'normal' people. While the lowest end of Down's Syndrome people are what could only be described as vegetables, the higher end can exhibit quite a lot of intelligence. My cousin drove a car and had a job as a groundsman. I know a girl who is a brilliant dancer, can hold a normal conversation, and takes part in the quizzes and activities of a group that I and her parents are members of. And she is a member, too. Books have been written by some. However, the top end is way below the top end of 'normal' people' range. Celebrities with Down's Syndrome will be very rare. Nov 10 04, 2:39 PM
