An actor, Chris Burke, who played Corky in a TV program called "Life Goes On" had Down's syndrome, and continues to act.

It's not a fatal condition, so no-one will have died specifically because of it. Down's Syndrome is a genetic condition, which gives the 'sufferer' a particular type of facial structure, usually below average intelligence, and usually a shorter life span than 'normal' people. While the lowest end of Down's Syndrome people are what could only be described as vegetables, the higher end can exhibit quite a lot of intelligence. My cousin drove a car and had a job as a groundsman. I know a girl who is a brilliant dancer, can hold a normal conversation, and takes part in the quizzes and activities of a group that I and her parents are members of. And she is a member, too. Books have been written by some. However, the top end is way below the top end of 'normal' people' range. Celebrities with Down's Syndrome will be very rare.

There's a man who plays characters with Down's on British TV. He was on programmes such as 'A Touch of Frost' and 'Strange'
