What was the makeup of Congress (what percentage was Democrats and what Republicans) during Eisenhower's presidency, and is there a website I can find information like this for any US president?

    Question #52664. Asked by pjotr.

According to "Composition of Congress since 1867"
    http://arts.bev.net/roperldavid/politics/congress.htm

1953-54 Senate: 46 Democrats, 48 Republicans; House of Representatives: 213 Democrats, 221 Republicans
1955-56 Senate: 48 Dems, 47 Reps; House of Representatives: 232 Dems, 203 Reps
1957-58 Senate: 49 Dems, 47 Reps; House of Representatives: 234 Dems, 201 Reps
1959-60 Senate: 64 Dems, 34 Reps; House of Representatives: 283 Dems, 183 Reps

I found this through a google search of Democrats+Republicans+1952+Congress
