Yes, people are creative but it remains an enigma to this very day that the Aztecs, advanced as they were, never invented the wheel so everything was carried by man.

"Tlamemes". They carried them out in a wooden box attached to their back with a rope around their forehead. Also called "Mecapaleros". Canoes were also used to travel around lakes, rivers or the coast.
