I'm guessing..." To Catch A Theif," The plot resembles a jewelry heist committed by 'Murph The Surf,' aka Jack Murphy and Allan Kuhn. Some of the stolen pieces were confiscated by the FBI and traced back to the seller's when they were labled for sale in one of Eva Gabor's antique jewelry stores?
