Is "mumpsimus" a real word?

It's a word that exists, but it's meaningless. Back in the days of uneducated priests and Latin services that no-one in the congregation could understand, a priest was discovered using the word mumpsimus where he should have used sumpsimus. This lent fuel to the fires for reform, but some people said they preferred the old mumpsimus to the new sumpsimus.
