    Which came first, Dagwood the comic character or Dagwood the sandwich?

    		I'm not sure if this was a joke question, but if you're old enough to have read the Blondie comic strip, you would know that the man came first, and then the sandwich. A Dagwood sandwich is basically one made from just about anything in the frig. One advantage that comic strip characters have over us is the ability to unhinge their jaws and open their mouths to receive a sandwich roughly the size of their heads!
