    However could you be looking for an answer like Falstaff who appears in three plays and has 593 in one and 585 in another, to say nothing of the third?

    As much as I hate to agree with Buck, I have since found out he is RIGHT! My source was referring to Falstaff as he appeared in 3 plays as the same character. Hamlet spoke a tiny fraction more but in a single play.

    This hurts...YAY BUCKYBOY!

    It is most definitely Hamlet for a single play, however King Henry V also appears as Prince Hal in the King Henry IV plays thus he gets it.
