Well the poet is Roger McGough, but I haven't found the poem yet. Still looking...

I found a reference to something called "Pantomime Poem" and a few sites which refer to the 'more more more' bit but without saying which poem it comes from. Am I close, or should I keep looking?

    (As one entry - McG)

Here are three versions of a poem, only one of which ends "more, more, more". All are credited to "author unknown". http://julikay.tripod.com/juliespoetry/id10.html
http://tootsie397.tripod.com/id44.htm (if you have speakers, turn them down on this one.)
It also occurs on "The Addams Family" soundtrack as composed by Saxie Dowell with no lyricist credit.
This one credits "words and music by Saxie Dowell", but I think they are mistaken. http://www.rienzihills.com/SING/playmate.htm
But so far I can find no connection to the great Mr. McGough.
