How does a CD-ROM get a virus? Is it possible to take it off without throwing out the CD? Can it happen to a non-computer CD?

A CD-ROM only contains what's been put there. If a virus has been put on it, you can't take it off (unless it's a CDRW). You can copy the files off it, virus check them and burn a new CD - and then shred the old one! Viruses should only affect computer CDs, not audio, but if playing a suspect disk check it first. There's no memory in audio equipment to store viruses in usually. Be careful where you are getting disks from. If they're pirated or illegitimate in some other way, beware. Also, don't trust disks from friends unless you know what antivirus they use. You are using antivirus, I hope? If not, mail me and I'll put you on to some stuff.
