Some guys at the University of Glamorgan with time on their hands are trying to show there was a bright conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in 7BC.
Chris de Burgh reckons it was a spaceship.
Either way, the Star of Bethlehem is definitely a plant if nothing else.

I heard on the television that it was an alignment of the inert planets (the gas giants), but mainly due to Jupiter and Saturn (as previously mentioned).
Then it went on to complain about Syrian people. I love UK Horizons. It's more hatefilled than everyone else.
