The Russians got to Hitler's and Eva's bodies in 1945. The testimony of several Nazis place Hitler in a bunker under Berlin on April 30th, 1945. That morning, after making a profoundly disgusting speech, he went to the back of his bunker with Eva, shot her, his two dogs, and finally himself. The Russians only made it public that they'd found the bodies in 1996, years after the Soviet Union broke up. After Hitler's suicide, Hermann Goering took command until he was caught by the allies.

No made a mistake Arpeggionist. Goering was never Reich leader. After Hitler killed himself, Grand Admiral Karl Doenitz took over. He lasted about three weeks.
