What is the difference between Sensodyne and a normal toothpaste?

Question #53707. Asked by ShakeyMikey. (Jan 04 05 8:30 PM)

Sensodyne contains a mineral compound that lightly coats the teeth and fills in tiny holes so cold food doesn't come in contact with the nerves underneath. Once it builds up it is maintained by daily brushing, and seemed to work for me anyway.
