What evidence is there that the Americas traded with Africa, Egypt, or the Mediterranean? How come they both made pyramids?

There's the rather unusual sound tl as in Atlas (mountains) and various words on the Central American side. The Olmec heads (large round statuey things) are said to resemble people from the Old World. And as to pyramids - lots of cultures have developed them independently. No worries there - it's just a very stable shape for building something very tall before the invention of concrete and iron girders.
