I just found one of my favourite nostalgic songs, "And I Remember" by Richard Digance, but I'm sure there is a longer version and assume it is the later "200 Remembers". Does anyone have the words?

    And I Remember...
I remember all my adolescent days,
And that's going back a few years now,
There was Quatermass and Journey into Space,
Their voices still ring loud and clear somehow,
    The Eagle, Blackjacks, everlasting strips,
    Things I read like Biggles,
    And newspaper round my chips,
    National Health Orange Juice,
    Birthday ten-bob notes,
Idiot mittens with the strings around our throats.

I remember bags of coloured rubber bands,
Streets that never had no yellow lines,
There was Snake belts, mine was red and blue,
    Shops with metal ovaltinie signs,
Fags around the bike-sheds, when my brother was a Ted,
Transistor radios we smuggled into bed,
Cold winter mornings, when the school milk froze,
Third pint bottles, yes I still remember those,
But I can't remember what I said to you,
That apparently broke your heart in two,
And I can't remember quite honestly,
The last time you told me you loved me...

    Saturday morning picture shows,
How we whistled when the film broke down,
Frozen jubblies, flying saucers, liquorice wood,
And lead soldiers in a box for half a crown,
Having friends to tea, but never in the week,
Trying to ask a girl out, but forgetting how to speak,
Roy of the Rovers, in his red and yellow shirt,
Building roads for dinky toys, in the garden dirt,
But I can't remember what I said to you,
That apparently broke your heart in two,
And I can't remember quite honestly,
The last time you told me you loved me...

No I can't remember quite honestly,
The last time you told me you loved me...

Thanks Kainantu- that was also the one I found, but there is a "200 Remembers" he did since then, and I think it did have many more memories, and would probably need someone with the CD or video which is a long shot, but possible! Good to share the words of this one though.

I have the 200 remembers from one of his original LPs saved on an MP3 file but just need to find the time to sit down and copy type it!!

Perhaps you could send the mp3 to Dave (satguru).

    Hi

I have just come across your comments. I am also desparately trying to get hold of the lyrics or even a copy of the cd featuring 200 Remembers. My husband remembers it from years ago and I wanted to try and find him a copy for Christmas. 200 Remembers is apparently off a cd entitled The Finishing Tape - but you can no longer get copies. I would be willing to buy a copy if anyone can put a copy onto cd for me. Many thanks. Christine Sewell

Does anyone remember an Australian TV show in the 1960's called The Magic Boomerang? I was very young and I remember it as a favourite, but I can't remember who was in it, or much else about it. Can any of you Aussie Baby Boomers jolt your memories for me?

What does "hakrotaeriazein" mean? It's Greek and it's supposed to mean something very gruesome. I found it in "On the Study of Words" by Richard C. Trench. Searched Google, no luck. Personal curiosity only. Thanks!

This is mostly for the Aussies out there. Why are there two "Waltzing Matilda" songs? There is the orginal version, and then there is the Victorian version. They are kind of different, but still have the same chorus and are named the same.
