Why is the Royal Standard never flown at half-mast?

    Question #54829. Asked by MaggieG 5. (Feb 05 05 12:44 PM)

    TabbyTom

It’s the flag of the reigning monarch, and the reigning monarch cannot be dead. When a king or queen dies, the heir becomes king or queen immediately, and the Royal Standard becomes his or her flag.
