Yay Mibby. He first appears in the book of Acts where he is trying to buy the power of the Holy Spirit. Because of this, the exchange of spiritual goods for temporal goods is known as simony. In the Acts of Peter he is seen pretending to be a god by an act of high levitation, so Peter prays to God to cut this act short. Simon the Sorceror (as he is sometimes called) then ceases to be suspended in mid-air and plummets to his doom.
